Rodney Reed is an innocent black set to be executed for a murder he didn't commit on November 20. You have a voice. You have a platform. Help me spread awareness and free Rodney's life. Because of my passion to see Rodney's life spared and freed from prison, I wrote this prayer. Please pray it and share it with others!
Prayer For Rodney Reed
O Lord, you are a great and awesome God who keeps Your covenant of love to all who love and obey Your commands (Daniel 9:4). I give You the praise, honor, and glory due to Your name. For You are worthy to be praised!
Lord You asked in your Word, "Is there no intercessor? No one to intercede on behalf of truth and right" (Isaiah 59:16)? Today Lord, I am interceding to You for justice and deliverance on behalf of my brother in Christ, Rodney Reed. Father, you said in Your Word, “Don't hesitate to rescue someone who is about to be executed unjustly” (Proverbs 24:11).
As your chosen intercessor, I stand on my assigned post and cry out to You day and night for the fulfillment of your promise of justice for Rodney Reed. Like the widow woman in Luke 18, I will take no rest until I see the justice and deliverance of Rodney Reed.
I repent on behalf of Rodney Reed for all the sins, iniquities, and transgressions that he has committed against You. Lord be merciful and forgive him for Your name’s sake. I plead to you on the righteousness of Christ Jesus, who is the Mediator of the New Covenant and the Blood He shed on Calvary.
Lord I ask that your Blood speaks in behalf of Rodney Reed in the Courts of Heaven. I come into agreement with Your Blood that brings healing, salvation, forgiveness, freedom, deliverance, restoration, and protection. Thank You Jesus for Your blood.
Through Your Blood, Rodney has the legal right to be forgiven. Because of the Blood of Jesus, every legal right the enemy has against Rodney Reed must be canceled. You said in Your Word in Colossians 2:14 that You have blotted out the charges proved against Rodney Reed. You took his list of sins and destroyed it by nailing it to Christ’s cross. All false accusations of murder and sexual assault against Rodney are wiped away, set aside and cleared completely through the Blood Jesus.
By my authority in Jesus Christ, I command all demons that claim any legal right to afflict legal injustice to Rodney Reed through demonic covenants to come out in Jesus name.
Now Father, I ask you move on the heart of Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Your Word in Proverbs 21:1, says “It’s as easy for God to steer a king’s heart for his purposes as it is for him to direct the course of a stream. Lord change the heart of Governor Greg Abbott towards Rodney Reed so he may stop his execution and grant him clemency.
Father you said in Isaiah 29:21, “Those who convict the innocent by their false testimony will disappear. A similar fate awaits those who use trickery to pervert justice and who tell lies to destroy the innocent.” Father, judge every person who told lies against Rodney Reed and perverted justice in his case. Even judge the judge who set his execution order into place.
Father, I ask that You declare Your judgment against the police officers, prosecutors and judge who issued evil statutes and constantly record unjust and oppressive decisions against Rodney Reed according to Your promise in Isaiah 10:1. Judge them based on Your Word in Exodus 23:7 that says, “Have nothing to do with a false charge and do not put an innocent or honest person to death”.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne (Psalm 84:19). Now God, hear the prayer and petitions of your servant. Lord, for Your purpose's sake, give ear and open Your eyes to injustice and potential death sentence Rodney Reed is facing. Clear Rodney’s name and remove the unjust charges set against him by ungodly workers of wickedness. Lord, move on his behalf and bring forth your godly justice in his case so that Your purpose and will on earth as it is in heaven for his life may fulfilled and Your name be glorified.
Thank You Lord for granting Rodney Reed mercy, grace, forgiveness, but most importantly justice. Thank You for sparing his life. I declare that he shall not die but live and declare the glory of Your name (Psalm 118:17).
