#PrayTheWord Prayer For Marriage & Faith Decrees

Are you married, engaged, or desire to be married? If you answered yes to any of those questions, this week's prayer is going to bless you greatly!

I wrote this pray for my future husband at the end of the last year, but for the purposes of this post, I rewrote it to make a general prayer for people already married and seeking marriage.

I know it will bless you! So pray it daily! And don't forget to save the bonuses at the end!

Prayer For Marriage

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you Lord for my godly ordained spouse. Thank you for preparing us for each other. Before, you formed us in our mothers' wombs, you preordained for us to be husband and wife.

Perfect love casts out fear and my spouse/future spouse loves me perfectly. He/She sees the glory of God in and on my life. He/She covers me daily in prayer. He/She recognizes the spiritual gifts inside of me and encourages me to use them. He/She also discerns what my spiritual calling and assignment is pushes me daily to operate the power and authority God has given me. He/She is not intimidated by the deep, intimate personal relationship I have with God. He/She knows God comes first place in my life and in my heart.

I thank You Lord that he/she is patient, kind, and forgiving. He/She is never jealous or envious. He/She does not operate in the spirit of pride, but in the spirit of humility. He/She does not dishonor me. He/She is not selfish or rude. He/She does not hold grudges and never keeps a record of my wrongs. He/She does not delight in evil or injustice, but rejoices with the truth. He/She always believes in me, always expects the best from me, and always stands his ground in defending me. His/Her love for me never fails ( 1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

My spouse/future spouse and I will strive daily to walk in the spirit of forgiveness. Our love for each other will cover each other’s offenses towards one another. Lord help us be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one as other, as God in Christ has forgiven us (). Allow us to make allowance for each other’s faults. Lord helps us continually remove all bitterness, rage, and anger towards one another. Help us control our temper to each other and to others.

I decree and declare in Jesus name no weapon formed our marriage will prosper and every tongue that speaks negatively about it judgment shall be condemned. Lord, You have joined me my spouse together no one or nothing will separate what You have joined together. A cord of three strands is not easily broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12) . Therefore, no principality, power, ruler of darkness, or person will be able to break our marriage. I sanctify our union in the blood of Jesus. I decree and declare my spouse will guard his/her heart against other men/women and remain faithful to me. I plead the blood of Jesus over our marriage, our children, our ministries, our businesses, our friends, our extended families, and over all our material possessions in the name of Jesus.

Many may be the plans in our hearts, but only Your purpose and plans for our lives will prevail. As my spouse and I come together, please show us Your plan for marriage, family, and ministry. Let us not be foolish, but know Your will for our lives.

Father God may our marriage bring you glory. Let it be an example of Your love and may it encourage others to seek and desire a godly marriage. Now I cover this prayer in the precious Blood of Jesus and I decree and declare it shall come to pass in in Jesus name. Amen
