What have you been speaking into the atmosphere lately? Seriously, what have you been saying? God reminded me during my personal prayer time with Him that life in death is the power of tongue. Personally, I have been speaking death and doubt to things I want to see life in. I have been murmuring and complaining and you know God hates that! I got to do better, but can you relate? What have you been speaking lately?
Recently, I have purchased some books by the late great Faith Movement pioneers, Kennteh Hagin and Charles Capps. Many people refer to them as the "Name and it and claim" preachers, call them whatever you want, but I believe their theology. Here are some scriptures to back it up:
Your very words will be used as evidence against you, and your words will declare you either innocent or guilty. -Matthew 12:37
Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the consequences.-Proverbs 18:21
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee. -Job 22:28
Listen to the truth I speak to you: If someone says to this mountain with great faith and having no doubt, 'Mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea,' and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done. -Mark 11:23
Calleth those things which be not as though they were.-Romans 4:174
All of those scriptures prove that the "Name it and claim it" theory is right. What manifests in your life is a result of the words you speak. Again, what are you speaking? Are you speaking fear, worry, financial lack, or hopelessness? You can't say you want financial freedom, but declare out of your mouth that you are broke everyday. You can't say you want to walk in peace and wholeness when you talk about your problems and brokenness all the time.
Beloved, it is time for you to start speaking what you want to see manifested in your life, not what you are currently seeing. To help break this point down even further, let me give you an example of what I mean. My top three goals for August is to see is to lose 10 pounds, increase my book sales, improve my time management skills. Since these are my goals, I will only speak what I want to see manifested. I will not complain about my current body weight. Instead, I will speak words of faith over my body like, "When I exercise I honor God with my body" (1 Corinthians 6:2) and "Every day I am getting closer to reaching my ideal weight." That's an example of how I will speak my weight loss into existence. Of course, I am about eating right an working out too!
You have to speak life to things you want to see manifest in your life! I know losing weight will not be easy nor will becoming more disciplined with my time. Even if I have a day when I don't work out or eat right, I will not let my mouth speak the opposite of the intentions in my heart. My intentions is to lose weight and that is what I set my mind and thoughts on, not what my belly look likes in the mirror.
Today I want you to make a list of three things you want to see manifested in your life in the month of August. Then I want you to find and write down scriptures and positive affirmations by each of those three things. Every single day speak the scriptures and affirmations to yourself. Don't speak how you currently feel or see about those things, speak what you want to see.
Jesus said speak to the mountain. Speak to the things you want to see changed in your life. Speak healing. Speak freedom. Speak deliverance. Speak increase, abundance, and prosperity. Call those things that are not as though they were! Decree and declare what you want to see manifested. God has give you that ability to name it and claim it if you do in faith and if what you are naming and claiming is in His will for your life.
